Sappano's Hi-Grade was founded in 1875 and it continues to be a family owned and operated business. Max Goldmeier opened a small wholesale business in Chicago to serve contractors, hotels, factories, and maintenance people who wanted quick and reliable deliveries and services when ordering paints and other painting supplies. Since 1949, we have grown from three employees to more than seventy professionals.

Our Goal today continues that legacy of first in quality and service while offering a wide range of products at very competitive prices.

We are offering nearly a dozen of major paint brands including Ralph Lauren, Benjamin Moore and Pratt & Lambert but also a large selection of tools, window treatments including Hunter Douglas blinds and wallpapers.

Did you know we also sell industrial coatings for factories and high-tech maintenance like special high heat coatings, marine paints, high-solids epoxies and floor coatings?

Sappano's/Hi-Grade specializes in fire retardant paints and anti-graffiti coatings. And, no one carries a more complete line of brushes and rollers than Sappano's/Hi-Grade.

On the softer side, we are the largest distributor of faux finish tools, brushes, paints, glazes,and related products. Sappano's/Hi-Grade carries a complete line of metal effects and smooth rock finishes, cement color powders, and more.

In all, Sappano's/Hi-Grade sells more than 50,000 building and maintenance products. Our e-commerce presence is one more example of our progress and potential for serving our clients.
